I’m Not a cutter so i would not know what it means?…..Lets start with the obvious…..assumtion is the mother of all fuck ups…..that said i suggest you check out the art forum…”not going to mention that that is where it is asked that you post any form of art written or other wise ” second Find and read civil war….a poem I posted there….and then you may re-asses your assumtions about weather or not i know what it means to be a “cutter” Like i said it was intended to be construtive critisum….and rule one dont ask if you dont want to know you said to reply with something just dont read it….rule number one…….” shakes head ” please get to know who you are speaking to before you say something that may have you looking quite childish or uneducated to those with whom you speak…..Im not good with computers or id do the whole like thing so you could just click and it would take you straight to civil war….but alas i suck with that so…..” steps off his soap box again” just take a look at it, and i still say you would be better off re-working them, they could be so much better

I would offer this in reply but before i do allow me to say this much…..I am by no means any expert or judge of talent this is merly what i see and what these words say to me……

Poetry to me is the expression of raw emotion, given refinement to render some sort of responce from the reader either sypethetic or apathetic….or mearly one of a kind of forced projection…” meaning trying to get one to see what it was that inspired you to write what you did ” on the first poem its very raw, lacking much in refinement. almost more a smattering of words used to fight back tears that were biting to tear themselves from your eyes….it could be much better with a bit of re working,

the second is more refined then the first but over all, i feel they both lack a kind of quality that is essentail to prevoking any kind of responce from the reader, there is nothing there that would sway one to emotion of some kind or another, yes there are poems out there that are blan and in your face….but of the few i have seen i fee their choice of word ” the writter’s ” selcetion was much better and still convey’d the meaning of what they had wanted the reader to take away with them when they were done reading it……I would hate to quote maestro, and doing so cause you to think that I truly loath what you have written but, to me these seem nothing more than woe is me pitty poems that, are mearly just a raw expression of what some one was feeling. perhaps in a jurnal or what not ” I’m rambleing here and most likely beating a dead horse” But like i said there not terrible any form of expression is great as long as it has meaning to the person that wrote it…..these simply do not apeal to me….i recomend having another crack at them both sit back try to recall the emotion that drove you to write them, and rework them with a bit more feeling……..” steps off his soap box “

P.S. Rule number one is dont ask ….If you dont really want to know….You asked, I answerd…it was by no means ment to be an attack on anyone or anythhing ….hopefully it is taken as it is intended….a pinch of constructive critasisum..do with it as you will

what context will the poems be published in, not quite shure i understand the question..but as far as i have gathered from the letter they sent me, it is going to be a compilation work. or as they call it a coffee table book, meaning that there will be many diffrent poems by many diffrent authors, mine being only one of many. but still it seems to be a step in the right direction after spending some time in the last year solisiting publications….

GREEN!!! cant say it enough….my hair has been every color under the sun and ten seconds away from candy pink…….”never let the fiancee pick the color for your last hair color before you run off and join the army” alas poor uric i knew the hair color well heratio…i can no longer dye my hair…..AR-670-my ass says i can not, but i do most prefeer my hair to be green most often it was either a dark emrald green or gecko green….and damn my chain of command i even went so far as to see if they would let me dye it olive drab….but Nooooo!!….anyways……yesh green..

Deep thoughts and troubled dreams
Ponderous moments, steeped in pain
Tormented souls, wail relentlessly at shadowed walls
To succumb means release
Fighting binds stronger the chains of slavery
Self made shackles in an imaginary prison
Hallow eyes veil the turmoil contained within
Tears mark the passing of previous retreats
A tallied arm keeps the loosing score
Slowly the blade draws neigh
The battle lost, this the final mark upon the tattered score card

It would seem that we are in similar yet opposite quandries……I do not really classify myself as a “goth” or gothic type person, yet this is what seems to be applied to me every where I go.. In confession I do for the majority of the time wear black )most of what i own( with the exception of a few red greens and greys…I spike and color my hair when I feel like It. I do so because i feel most comfortable in this fashion, and yes my clothes have all the required chains spikes and what not, I like them so what….and with all of this i still do not consider my self a goth or anything for that matter of fact. I am a person who happens to like a particular style of dress and yes the mind set…..I do not gravitate twards others simply cause of the way they look unless it happens to be that i am drunk and feeling a bit randy ) totaly diffrent situation( but it is similar thoughts and behavior that draws people together, likes and dislikes….not their style of dress….Consider this …a rose by anyother name would not still smell just as sweet…..this is what it means to me. A rose even if it did not look ) dress ( or be named as such would stil have the same smell ) idea’s ( as the rest of the flowersw in a boquet….and no self respecting florest would not put complimenting flowers in the same bunch……”if that makes sence to any one besides me ” anyways i have suffered you people enough with my horibble spelling, bad grammar and errant rambeling…..till then ….later days

Fade

Slowly I step from the shadows to gaze upon the light just once in a palored moons cycle
In the light cast upon me I am seen by all yet only noticed by few in this dim glow
I sit for a time and talk with those that would notice me for who I am
In time as with all things the palored moon cycles and I fade yet again back into the shadow that was and is my home…
It enfolds me it is the black that is my life the womb that is my blanket I do not struggle as it takes me again for it is time….I fade
Yeah thou I do mourn for a time as I will miss the talks I have had with those that have noticed me …in time with my fading they to shall fade from me as quickly as I fade from them…I will remember and they will see me fade
I will watch from my shadowed veil until the next palored moon until I again step into the light and find new people to see me….
Can you see me fade….would you choose to come with me into this shadowed realm of my home…or shall I just …….fade?
