Darkness falls and moonlight shines
The beast within me starts to rise
Awakened by the lunar pull
The hunger grows my rage is full
All my senses Razor sharp
The smell of flesh, my quickened heart
The hunt begins with just a scent
The unwitting prey’s life soon spent
Claws dug deep I set my pace
Anxious am I to start the chase
Her sweet aroma tells no lies
For her there is no place to hide
Silently through the night I stalk
Unaware she slowly walks
A snarl and howl to Peirce the night
Urging her to take flight
Her quickened pulse and quickened pace
Sends us through this city maze
Her heart so loud like beating drums
Her fear so sweet like fresh ripe plumbs
My excitement raised to its peek
My prey lay weeping at my feet
Do not fret her death is sweet
For in this life she was but a sheep.
