I've decided to switch to the Joomla CMS for the next VTK version. PHP Nuke is dead, old code, old features and the "far too many buttons" disease every major GPL product has.
Joomla is easier on the eyes and a dream to administer i've heard.

And it gives us stuff like customizable profiles, twitter-style status, friends, groups and more. Pretty much like facebook. Throw in a lifetype-style blog for every user and while everyone could be happy you know no one will come cause we don't let them customize their profile colours and blogs. I didn't find any plugins for that yet, but we need this.

Unfortunately some of those modules aren't free so i piled up $80 in stuff to buy before hiring some coder to setup colour customizing.

I have 3 weeks off now, so i hope i'll get a good part of moving VTK over done, but there's prototyping involved.
