The promise of Glory
Zitat von navre am 16 Januar, 2006, 1257 UhrThis one Remains untitled.....so even tho I have posted a subject line it is not the title and I pose a simple challange to those who would stop and read this.....can you suggest a title...i wirte so many things and never can think of a propper title.....
A line, carved into the sand
Many are formed upon the mount
Hushed is the din
Exquisite silence
The calm before the storm
All is but naught
The dawn, I see before me
Eyes wide, I march towards the light
Basking in its glow I stand
In turn I echo its meaning
A beacon unto others I march forth
Hearken unto this banner
Warriors, …
Bards,…
HEROS!

Zitat von lady_demornay am 17 Januar, 2006, 0412 UhrThis was from Star Trek, Next Generation (...if anyone doubted I was a geek...), and I found it on one of my geek fan sites, and it made me think of you. This was prior to your new signature, just based on what I know of you, and what you have shared with us via your prose.....
Anyway..... this one's for you, Nav`re:
(A song sung by O'Brien in The Wounded)A minstrel boy to the war has gone
in the ranks of death ye will find him
his fathers sword he hath girded on
with his wild harp slung behind him
land of song said the warrior bard
though all the world betrays thee
one sword at least thy rights shall guard
one faithful harp shall praise thee.@}-`---
