Mania themselves have information about the original plans which sounded quite shitty to begin with
“This meshes with Norrington’s original statement about the reinvention, in which he talked about how the movie would be tonally different.
“Whereas [Alex] Proyas’ original was gloriously gothic and stylized, the new movie will be realistic, hard-edged and mysterious, almost documentary-style,” Norrington told Daily Variety.
