New Crow movie might spare us from a reboot

"Looks like the script is almost done, and apparently it's not a sequel or reboot at all. A source close to the movie's development told Mania that Stephen Norrington should be delivering the script this month, and it's "very different from the original - a whole new story about a whole new character."
Mania themselves have information about the original plans which sounded quite shitty to begin with
"This meshes with Norrington's original statement about the reinvention, in which he talked about how the movie would be tonally different.
"Whereas [Alex] Proyas’ original was gloriously gothic and stylized, the new movie will be realistic, hard-edged and mysterious, almost documentary-style," Norrington told Daily Variety.
Of course i would suggest to the let the whole thing rest, but there's just no money in not beating dead horses.
