Nightwatch is finally out ! I don’t know when it will be showing in your area but you can go to the website and find out. http://www.nightwatch.com This is a really exciting movie I have been waiting for sometime to see this. It’s a trilogy so expect more. Unfortunately if you do not Know Russian you will have to read the subtitles and for some stupid reason they left out a scene for the american release. The next installment is called Daywatch which I am told is just as twisted as the first. Let me know how you liked it once you see it.

The trailers indeed look nice, yet i heard somewhere on the net that the russians aren’t too excited about it’s international release, as they say it’s based on a very successful russian book series you obviously need to have read to understand everything.

Think Matrix Revolutions would have been shown without the information you get in the prior Matrix movies.

I’m not sure about the authenticy of that review, though – so it’s definately worth a try :vamp:

I saw the movie last night…I believe the final score I gave it was 2.75 stars out of 4

Keep in mind I’ve not read the books, nor knew anything about it till my buds brought it over.

Effects were good, interesting characters….kind of decent story, but it is easy to lose track of what’s going on and a lot isn’t explained. I’d be interested in reading the books if there are english versions of them.

So, yeah, I’d recommend seeing it, but pay attention, or you’ll probably miss something important…

I bought nightwatch the other night and thought it was okay, but nothing special.
Maybe it’s because i’ve not read the books or knew anything about it before i watched it, but there were places in the film i just couldnt understand or follow.
Of course, it could be that i’m as thick as pig shit, but who knows?
Anyhow, i thought the special effects were well done – not too showy and not done too cheaply – and i licked most of the characters.
Over-all i’d give it two and a half out of five.

I’d go for 3.5/5
not spectacular but a welcome refreshing change to the typical hollywood vampire/paranomal flicks. I can understand why it gained cult-status so fast after it’s russian premiere.
