Unfortunately… the V.TK database was acidentally deleted. This means all the old content is gone and we are back to a backup from July-ish.

Maestro is working on getting a more recent backup restored (there are some tape backups apparently) but with him now trading in the cape and eyeliner for Camo and Shells (National service in the Artillery) it’ll most likely be weekend until we hear again from him.

In the meantime, I ask our members be patient with the site while everything gets sorted.

As to members/login accounts, I’m not sure but you may have to re-register. I’m sorry for the inconvenience that will cause.

do be aware though, that it is highly possible that any posts between now and the time the later backup gets restored, may well be lost… so if you do add blogs, etc… then please back them up somewhere.

Feel free to now vent your rage/Anger.

Accidentally Deleted? Who did that eh? 😯

All I know is that each time I tried for three days to see I saw folders about all sorts of things, images, maestro’s database outlines and a sh*teload of code from two folders I clicked on. ❓ I kind of figured something had happened but… eh? Who did it? Confess !! 😈

….Scare me why don’t you? It was a humorous for the first half an hour…

I’ll give you a clue … it wasn’t me 😉

Same here for me .. Maestro however was getting a PHP/MySQL error and assumed we all were.

What it does highlight though, is that while M wants the site to be a nice big community, there’s just no contingency or management currently. That IS changing .. he’s taken on an admin and hopefully once this has been sorted something can be worked out so that someone other than him has access to DB and backups .. but that’s all dull techie stuff.

Point is … carry on as normal 😉

this weekend I should have some content for the site… I’m desperately trying to find some gothic/vamp news feeds that I can rumage through but most don’t seem to be updated with any regularity.. if anyone knows of any, shout out.

I’ll also be throwing up the movie reviews . Have since watched Farenheit 911 and Stepford Wives (the remake) . So lots of reviews to write.

Any ideas or suggestions on stuff for the site (beyond : “stop deleteing the database, morons”) will be greatly appreciated from all, n00bs and vets alike .. so please, do contribute.

I’m now off to enjoy a chocolate over-dose.
