I noticed the latest trend on vamp sites is to have some kind of secret second “18+” or “members only” kind of forum.

Now why i tend to think both restrictions just shrink the amount of people who can share their ideas while not necessarly improving the quality of posts of the people let in, what is YOUR opinion on the whole thing?

does VTK need some uber secret “inner sanctum” which members can boast about beeing a part of to the mundanes? Complete with ID check and all?

Personally I think the idea is utter shite, but clearly I’m in the minority given, as you mention, the number of places that do this.

officially the purpose of such things is to give people with a higher interest into the topic (the site ‘elite’ so to say) a place where they alone can dwell in their high recognition inside the community they gained through sending ten bucks via paypal to somebody and tell all the others on the outside how cool it is .

typically that runs down to having any kind of currency wothlessly spent for access to some unused idiot forum that has no sense because all the interesting talk is going on on the outside

which is why i’m afraid to see no storm of resistance yet besides the trusty old V 😯
i was seriously expecting flaming and death threats just because of mentioning something like this and you leave me hanging there with not a single “no” vote? what’s up

It would only serve to obstruct interaction, whitch is the ultimate purpose of this site.
