people are talking about monitoring sites like us which treads all over the free speech issue.
It seems like most reasonably intelligent people would realize that the only person responsible for his actions was Gill. But with societies need to come to a rational explination for everything that goes wrong they look to blame anyone or anything else.
His mother even told the press " I was oblivious to his involvement with vampire cults".
when I first heard of this, I knew I would hear more about it my town.. I make no secret of my involvement in VTK as a matter of fact I am rather proud of the site and talk about it often.
So when the first person came up to me and asked me wasnt I involved in one of those weird vampire sites? I thought oh, here we go..
but the point is, if he would have been a member of www.hgtv.com the out come would have been the same and I think people need to stay focused on the real issue which is.... no one is to blame for what happened on Wendesday but Kimveer Gill.

I agree...in my town these sick kids killed a girl, but everybody was focusing on how one of the kids listened to Slipknot, so Slipknot "made him evil" or something and totally ignored the fact that one of them was mentally ill. It was really annoying how everybody focused on the music he listened to, instead of how sick he was. It had nothing to do with his choice of lifestyle or music.

I read a paper on dahmer once.. I cant remember the link.. but it was about the fact he listened to Opera music..
now that has to make one wonder... they didnt come down on opera music...
