Good luck on that one ..
Use a mother and her newborn .. that is allways a winner.
But does it need to be on a photo or can the photo itself represent the emotion?
For instance .. can you use a photo of a loving couple and burn the edges and parts of the photo to symbolise loss or hate (x girls like poking the eyes out .. not mine offcourse 🙄 )

Otherwise i`d go for something tradgic, gruesome even.
Like a body of a person mutilated and the family faded in the background top looking down sadly.

He was never really specific about how I am supposed to show emotion. I messed with some pics i found... not sure it's what he wants. I might just give up on this and ask him if I can do something else instead.

They're pretty damn good! I really like the second one, perhaps if you added something onto them like fake tears or something along those lines it might work, but keep us posted on your project!...

Actually a pretty good idea, take a photo with a seductive look and smear the mascara and widen the eyes to make it look helpless or frustrated
