ok i finally have a suggestion, well one that might be feasable, we have the ever dreaded fav music list and the what songs must be played at any good party….and the idea hits me while wasting time at work eailier today…mood music…..I know there is a way to do it ive seen it done…when ppl click on the site….home page, forum page, it auto plays a selected song, it could be the same no matter where you go in the site or it could be specific song for each diffrent forum….that way it lets other listen to the music we like and they may or may not have heard before…like i said i think it might work..maybe…oh and if It does I already have a suggestion for a song to be played….comments….besides weather or not its possible

The problem is, we dont have frames on VTK 🙁

It *would* be possible to have background music if a part of the webpage you see would stay permanently on the screen while you surf the site, then we could install a player there. But VTK always gets loaded as a full webpage only which means any player we put up would restart the song each time you load a new page or click a link.

However your idea is a very good one: i am working on getting such an internet radio player into the chatroom. For now you’d need winamp installed: then you only need to go to the “select your music ” block on the left menu and choose a station. Winamp will connect and not mind when you suft through the pages 😀

Hey guys … did you consider the fact that people still use dialup modems?
Vtk will become such a system intensive site that dialup`ers will not enjoy it ….. it will be too slow …. valuable members might be lost in the pimping up of VTK.

the chatroom is not slow because of bad scripting but because flash, php AND java is a bit much to handle for a computer at the same time and the fact that i cannot shit money and we will have to live with a non custom script, get the fuck over it i cant hear it anymore

I was not prodding VTK …. only the effect that more plug-in would have on the efficiency of the chat as a tool to serve the purpose it was created to serve…
I was on dialup … It was not fun 🙁

sorry, i’m kinda annoyed by the bitching about the chatroom lately

People should consider that we at least have one in contrast to almost all other vamp sites.

Of course we could go the easy way too and use irc again, but someone else will have to explain people how to login to a server, join a channel and why the grey javascript doesnt fit to the site or cannot have a custom wallpaper and colours, cook ham’n’eggs or whatever else is requested.
Easier to click a button and be there? i think so.

The chatroom is great .. now all we need to do is get all of VTK on broadband . 😈

I’m new to this sight but I’d thought I’d say it is awsome, I know your always looking to make it better. I just thought I’d say I like it here the pages are easy on the eyes. The chat actualy as far as I can see is good though some people need to learn to logout. but anyway nuf rambling.
