seems pvc has now completely replaced the medieval dresses, the Lady/Witch look vanished and we are facing an army of goth sluts.
while i personally dont miss those “we were here first” dark romantic girls who bitch about rivetheads though beeing a far more new “branch” than them, too much sluttyness is not always a positive thing either
what’s your opinion?

Far too many of the PVc brigade are the people who clearly SHOULDNT wear such tight outfits.
Besides, there’s something decidely unsexy about an outfit you have to talc yourself out of.
And as a point, if there are any arm-waving warbling Stevie Nicks types about…… hehehe.
well, as far as black battleships are concerned, they dont look good in any kind of fabric.
corsets and lace might be fine, but im more goin for the punk girls or industrial babes…only ravers are a no-no. having multicoloured fur around your legs definitely disqualifies you for everything
I’m totally pro leather all the time! It’s the best material next to cotton to wear. I try to have as much leather products in my wardrobe as I can.
Especially shoes, wristbands (wich I sometimes make myself) and leather jeans. It also looks much better. Latex is best suited for the porn industry.
No fake leather or latex will you find in my home! 😈
I’d probably go with the more “traditional” goth-type stuff, although pvc and so on is good when the right people wear it – I really don’t get why fat people wear it, it only emphasizes their size 😯

medieval dresses all the way! i love corsets, lace, and the like. i hot chick just makes me melt when they dress that way.
i cant stand sluts dressed that way, in my opinion they have no pride in themselves, plus as has already been said, most of them dont even look good that way.

medieval goths are a rare breed now in germany in contrast to some 3-4 years ago when they were everywhere.
i cant say i miss them too much, they only bitch about the gravers cause they “dont fit in” while beeing not for too long part of the goth scene themselves. plus first they bitch, then they dance to VNV 🙄
they appear to be friendly but indeed there are sometimes greater sluts than the pvc sluts – who mostly only dress that way ( but beware, they are all goff girls – that increases the likelyness of their sluttyness from the start anyway).
going by dress i like the “sisters” goff girls too: leather jackets, tons of hair spray and the next day you dont remember if that headband on the floor is your’s or her’s – but then those have tons of punk friends. and me and punks dont mix.

I unfortuantlely am one of those who bitch and moan about the gravers. However, I’ll die before bopping to VNV. While I do enjoy trance and house (have a whole rack of Ministry of sound albums) my problem is aptly summed up below …

there is basically no difference between a 26 years old girl and a 15year old teen, neither when it comes to dress nor in difficulty of getting them laid
the only thing you recognize goth girls of age by is they’re mostly finally able to apply makeup without looking like camo’ed jungle soldiers.
so thats why i dont go for those teens, if i wanted a marine, i’d want her in uniform. 😈

I admit, I went through an excruciating stage of perkigoff, with my pink and black hair in long braids (down to my arse) and yes, in my shame I wore them in pigtails *shudder* … then I hit my $2k outfit ubergoff stage, whereupon we were all part of an elite until I told them to bugger themselves and went into hiding from the vast politics of the underground.
Now I suppose I have melded into a sorta Victorigoth style… I adore corsets and tall lacey boots (see my fetish post :twisted:) and I love my long velvet skirts and even my velvet cape that I wear when it’s snowing. I also love lace and silk, especially as my sheets. *oh so wicked smile*
Occasionally I decide to embrace my inner industrial bitch and I’ll deck myself out in all spikes and chains and 3 tons of metal (including my self-made boots which I shall post a pic of when I stop being lazy :lol:) …. though this is rare.
A good lay happens in a corset with tall laced-up boots. 😈

i kinda like lace… i think there’s something sexy bout black lace….heck..any lace…
bit difficult to wear leather here in South Africa in the middle of summer – its sweltering hot and humid day and night…. so i save the leather and latex for winter and get down in lace in the summer…..
Lace all the way, i’m not an uber fan of latex, tis usually so shiny lol, and if tis like rough leather then tis okay, but still lace gets my vote…
leather and other synthetics are my first choice.

I find that these days, a traditional or “medieval” goth are a beautiful rarity and the clothing is, unfortunately, saved for Hallowe’en parties. I’m sitting here in Merry Auld Scotland and not once have I seen a proper goth as described!
I see plenty of PVC and metal though…and a group of my male friends are fond of leather trenchcoats…one of which is too short for them >.<
It’s odd, they claim they all are different but in reality, they’re avoiding all forms of criticism too. Bleedin’ hypocrites.

As to what women, or girls if you will, look better in: the answer is simple, it depends on the person. Some women look good in all that frilly stuff, while others look like overblown tents.
Some women look good in rubber, while others look like man-eating condoms.
i think there are numerous alternative, dark and goth looks which are all exceptional. if i were thinner i might be a pvc girl myself.
