OK… so Obama has picked a running mate?? for anyone paying attention, Obama picked Biden as the VP… big deal here… not so much in the world I guess. 🙂
but this is going to be a huge issue in the USA.. and would love to get comments on who thinks what…
we all need a change in America.. I can bet we all agree on that, but before M bans political stuff on the site … lets hear some opinions..
I am all for change in American politics , so someone respond with something intelligent..

Well, Withdraw, thanks for the question .. I have been gone a bit, so sorry for the late post…
He is a senator from Delaware… been in politcs about 30 years.. very good in foreign policy… he was chosen probably to bridge the gap with obamas new status on that.. as far as
I know he is pretty liberal.. I reccomend going to the site for details I think he is a good match for Obama.. they seem almost on the same page as far as policies…
hopefully that gives you an idea… putting a polititian in a nutshell is kinda hard ..LOL

Ok so I watched the speech from Obama… it was moving, inspirational, and aggressive..
but I have to wonder how those plans will come to frutation? I hope he can back up tough words with a tough plan ..
and Mccain picked a woman VP?? I admit to being shocked.. this will most definatly be a strange election ..lol

looks to me like mccain wants to steal votes from the former hillary voters by putting the woman in the VP seat.
Now I’ll wonder if people are gonna fall for that trick.

haven’t seen the speach but imo it had to be strong language because serious changes are going to have to be made. it can’t go on like it is now.
I just hope obama has a good team supporting him and the people learned their lesson after the the past 8 year of having an ld republican president.
time for serious change if you ask me (and just about everyone else over here).

Obama has a good standing with the rest of the world, many would rather have Obama at the wheel than someone protecting Bush’s legacy, making sure the US piss of the rest of the world even more. If he’s aided by a second-in-command that knows his international workings that can only be an added benefit.

We expect a Condi-Style rep VP, so while pissed off Hillary voters making good on their claims to change the camp (quite a lot of them i heard) might be appealed by the woman in her, i’m certain the rest of the world sees her in tough-worded tradition to her forerunner until she’s managed to introduce herself.

The last VP managed to appear like a devil on the presidents shoulder – is it a trait of VPs to be the hardlining policy maker?

I’m not so shocked McCain picked a woman VP. Really it’s an obvious move as he is trying to lock in all the dispirited hillary voters. I’m more surprised at the woman he picked. The govenor of Alaska, which no one out side of the state has really even heard. And, she is younger and has less experience than Obama. It just makes me wonder if the mccain campaign has any ide whatsoever what it is doing. On a related note, all this non sense on the possible vp’s daughter, comp,etely ridiculous and irrelevant to the campaign. While i think the girl is a complete idiot, I don’t see how a teenagers unthinking actions have anything to do with mccains politics. That’s the nature of American politics though i guess, bring up comepletely irrelevant personal isses to smear the candidates.

@M.. I was teasing about blocking the topic.. but I didnt see it, lol guess I should have looked before posting??
but since this thread has some comments I will keep posting with this for a bit..

being the open minded persaon I am, 🙄 I watched the RNC convention .. I didnt feel i could comment if I had not listened to both sides. Although half way into Guliannis speech I knew I would need a beer to listen further. lol

I like Sarah Palin, she is quite a speaker… although she is against most of what I belive in * pro choice, and a fairly liberal government and some gun control….
she wont get the Hillary vote, the two of them are polar oppisates but I think the are going after the independant vote..

I dont think the Republican party identifies with the “average American ” which is the entire problem .. you cant be something you are not, without looking fake. and that is how it struck me..

The whole community organizer jab was absurd… I wont even start to go into it, I will spare you that and torture my rlf with it.. 😉
but watching this, I realized how hard this election is going to be and how important it is…

Well, 38 days till the American vote is cast? after the first debate * finally happened , thought I would see who thinks what… 😯
I missed the original, I was at work …lol seems like thats the only place I am if not sleeping.. 😉
but the rebrodcaast will be tommorow and so Im going to catch that.
